ILT Growing Up

In ILT we learnt about Friendship,Our changing bodies and Relationships.It was interesting to learn about these different things.I really enjoyed the physical theater dances they were very fun and easy to create and perform.What I didn't enjoy the most was trying to find a group you would actually work well with and also deciding on a song to use.I thought it was a little bit weird when Mr Preston gave us the talk about our changing bodies,I thought the conversation we had with the other girls was interesting and a little gross to.What I also found a bit challenging was the Social Media task that was also a little weird as well,we were talking about why and how you should respect age restrictions o n apps for a reason and also not to say weird or hurtful things to one another for example like syber bullying each other.I really enjoyed this ILT it was the best one yet this year if I had to choose a favorite.I hope our next ILT will be as fun as this one we had together as Classes.

Email Etiquette

In IT we have been learning about Email Etiquette. We have been given a task on it and we had to watch a video about it and then remember to fill the doc we got sent to work. What we had to type about was to remember the rules or points when emailing a person or teacher.After that we all had to send a email to our teacher just for fun maybe about things your struggling with or something you don't know in a test or Afrikaans test something like that we had to do.When we were finished we had to email it to our teacher who was teaching us in IT and send it to him or her.We also had to blog about everything we have learned in IT for the email etiquette tasks we got given and that's what we have been doing in IT this week and last week lately.

Super Hero Stop Motion Project

What we had to do in our Super hero project was that we had to create a superhero or villain with a special type of clay called plastecine and use it in a Stop motion and it would make a cool crime and saving scene.We also had to create a set our them was candy land and use it to display our character while filming.Our character that we made was called Mr Twinkle Toes and he is a curious villain he always wants to cause trouble around any world or city he's in. Mr Twinkle Toes is a unicorn villain with purple and blue wavy hair. His symbol is a foot with pink sparkles around it,we called our character Mr Twinkle Toes. We also had to make a doc on Thing Link and label special things about our character with the image behind the points. We created our character to bring laughter and a bit of trouble to the stop motion.The highlight of this project was probably the painting of the sets. I think I would not change our character because we think that he is perfect the it is. The frustrations was the timing because of the time we had to make the character.

Grade 6 Camp 2017

Last week Wednesday to Friday we went on camp. When we arrived there it looked fun to do,I was so excited when we got there because of all the activities that we were going to do. First we played Bunny,Carrot,Gun it was so fun we had to start out as a egg and grow up until we reached a rooster but to get to the rooster we had to play other people to get bigger.We swam together with our friends and we had Hot Chocolate on the first night with cookies it was delicious.We played an activity could shark island we never got to finish it though,we also played a game when we had to try get a rope and swing across to the safe side it was scary and funny to watch.The second day we played more activities we did a hike near the end of the day and drumming oh and also the climbing wall witch I was to scared to go on. We did have a bit of drama now and then but we got through it. Then we had breakfast the next day it was delicious then we had to pack our bags and leave,then every thing turned out perfectly at the of camp. we all had great awesome fun at camp.

Poetry ILT

I am starting to work on my theme of my poem witch is snow,we have to use our poem and show everyone in the hall that what we have done,were you wondering what ILT  is if you are I will tell you I stands for integrated L stands for learning and T stands for task.Our group struggled a little bit with a few tasks at first but then we got the hang of things.We did fight but we learned to not use one of the poems but also that we could use our ideas and join them together and it makes a
perfect poem. We liked task six because it very interesting and fun to do.This was my poem.

Snow Acrostic Poem:

A snowflake touched me on my nose
Can  we play fluffy in the snow 
Red is the color my new jumper for winter
On Saturday we took  my friend Jess to see the snow in Canada 
Snow is one of the best things to play  with .
The day of Christmas on our vacation it snowed it was very fun 
there 
I went to go to America to watch the Snow boarding competition 
Could we take Sam to the snow festival.

Im so excited for camp I feel joy and happieness inside me.I cant wait for camp its just so exciting.

My 2017 Grade 6 year so far

I cant believe i'm in Grade 6 the Grade 4 and Grade 5 years have past so on to a new year. I want to achieve higher marks in my tests and subjects. I want to improve my Design and Tech and IT to.
I want to concentrate harder in class and try not to draw and doodle. I want improve PHYS ED and my ability to do Orals in front of everyone. I cant believe how much stuff we've done already in the first term witch is not finished yet still another month of the Term 1 , but I have sweet and kind lovely teachers that teach different subjects.  2017 is great so far we have valentines day its going great so far. All my friends are the best thing in the whole wide world to me. I wonder whats going to happen next in 2017.                                                                                                                                                      

A day in life and home in a informal settlement

A DAY IN THE  LIFE AND HOME OF A CHILD IN A INFORMAL SETTLEMENT




 I woke up and I would be wet and soggy because  I have holes in my  roof.  I made my roof with any  scrap metal material I could fined . I cook butternut,coly flower and broccoli soup and home made bread . Then I don't have any privacy because I have to share a room with my brothers and my sisters. When i bath I have to wash myself in a bucket. We don't have any more water left than other homes. We hardly have any safety because we get robbed quite often.


My feelings for my home is quit sad😢 I hardly see anything Ive always wanted to see.My dream was to fly,see unicorn and have a new mom and dad because my parents died. For now I live with my Grandma and grandpa and my brothers and sisters. Me and my friend molly play together all around the place,we go to the hair dresser to go see what the people are doing  we pass the spa and pick n pay.😆Then I went to school and we only have one text book to write in. At break I had the worse lunch ever because my grandma and grandpa do not now what I like to eat at school its always the worst lunch in the hole world it makes me sick.........I hate my life because i'm homeless.Please someone help me I don't  like this any more.
